The One Love Bahamas benefit concert to aid recovery and rebuilding efforts in the Bahamas has been postponed. The event, which was to be held on Saturday, November 23rd, is now planned for Saturday, February 8th at the Amp in Pompano Beach. All event proceeds will benefit Hurricane Dorian victims in the Bahamas. Fans should hold on to their tickets for the February show as they will be honored at the rescheduled dates. If you cannot make the rescheduled show and would like a refund on your tickets please contact Ticketmaster. While parts of Grand Bahama and the majority of the Abacos were destroyed the majority of the Bahamas is open for tourism. The best thing you can do is visit the Bahamas. If not give where you can they are a proud and resilient people and all they need is a little help. Fresh Drinking Water a Must
The water supply will be soon restored in some areas many remote areas will be without for years. The immediate effort was to bring bottled water which is continuing. One of the major projects that will be funded by “One Love Bahamas” proceeds will be to provide these areas with desalination systems. This will help sustain these communities and reduce the flow of plastic water bottles into the Bahamas.read more
